A Plus-1 trip is a mixed-gender adventure where AdventurUs alumni can bring a partner or friend. These bucket list travel experiences are rare and happen in exclusive destinations.

TRIP DETAILS AND PLANNING

Participants must be 18+. Most travelers are in their 30s-60s, but we've had adventurers in their 70s and spunky 18-year-olds as well!

Camps & Retreats: No prior experience needed, perfect for beginners. You should be comfortable walking with a daypack.
Adventure Trips: Some hiking tours may require experience for activities like mountain hiking or rafting. Always review trip details to ensure a good fit.

Review the daily itinerary and activity level to ensure it matches your fitness and interest. For more challenging trips, like the Tour du Mont Blanc hiking tour, we provide training plans. Reach out if you have questions about a specific adventure journey.

Level 1 (Easy): 1–2 hrs of light hiking or yoga. Suitable for most fitness levels.
Level 2 (Moderate): 2–4 hrs, including hiking, kayaking, or rock climbing.
Level 3 (Active): 4–6 hrs, ideal for moderately experienced adventurers.
Level 4 (Challenging): 5–8 hrs of strenuous activities like surfing or mountain hiking.
Level 5 (Strenuous): 8–10+ hrs, perfect for fit adventurers seeking challenging expedition tours.

Group size varies: 4–14 travelers for small group tours. Camps and retreats may have larger groups, but workshops remain intimate with fewer than 12 participants.
SOLO TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATIONS

Absolutely! Over 60% of our guests are solo female travelers. Many love the safety and camaraderie of our small group tours for women.

Accommodation varies, with single and double rooms available depending on the trip. Solo travelers booking double occupancy will be paired with another guest from our women only travel company community.

TRAVEL INSURANCE & PAYMENTS

Yes, travel insurance is required for international adventure travel. We recommend purchasing CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason) insurance early, especially for adventure vacations and outdoor tours.

Yes, payment plans are available for most trips. Full payment is due by the balance due date.

Domestic Trips: 25% non-refundable deposit. Cancellations 61+ days before travel: 75% refund. 30 days or less: no refunds.
International Trips: 50% deposit. Cancellations 180+ days: 85% refund. 90 days or less: no refunds.
SIGNATURE ADVENTURE CAMP DETAILS

Inspired by REI's Outessa series, AdventurUs Signature Adventure Camp focuses on women's travel and outdoor adventure. Held annually in Bend, Oregon, it offers activities like rock climbing, paddling, and mountain biking with a community of passionate women.

All-inclusive: Meals, lodging, activities, gear, and guides.
Activities include rock climbing, paddling, mountain biking, yoga, and more.
Meals: Vegetarian and gluten-free options. Non-alcoholic drinks and campfires with s'mores.
Not included: Travel, lodging, trip insurance, and alcohol.

Expect a full day with breakfast, activities, meals, happy hour, and nightly campfires. The event ends at 1pm on the last day.

Comfortable clothing for all weather, a daypack, and closed-toe shoes for activities. A packing list is sent before the event.

No tents here! While it's called a "camp," you'll enjoy the comfort of private rooms, with cozy beds and hot showers after your exciting outdoor adventures.
