Check out the teaser for Pretty Faces: Lynsey Dyers new movie

In Boulder, CO on September 30th, Pretty Faces had it's premier. I thought this was a perfect story for my first #WOW (Women of Wednesday) posts... I know, I know,  I basically missed Wednesday and it seems strange to be featuring a Ski Movie when we are about to head into a another heat wave.

Pretty Faces is the passion project of SheJumps co-founder and pro mountain skier, Lynsey Dyer. I have only seen the trailer, but love the energy, happiness, and humor found in featuring the world of amazing badass women skiers. I can't wait to see the movie during it's tour to cities across the US. In Pretty Faces,  Lynsey is helping re-define the art of the backcountry skiing and a women's place there.

Unfortunately it is with great sadness that we want to recognize the passing of Liz Daly, JP Auclair, and Andreas Fransson. Adventure Journal wrote a very nice tribute to the 3 skiers lost in avalanches over the past couple of days. Our hearts go out to their family and friends.

Hopefully the trailer will bring a smile to your face...

Pretty Faces is a film celebrating women who thrive in the snow. The concept for the film was originated by professional big mountain skier and SheJumps co-founder, Lynsey Dyer with the objective of giving women and girls, young and old, a source of inspiration through a unique look at what is possible when boundaries are broken, dreams captured and friendships cultivated. In Lynsey’s words “I wanted to give young girls something positive to look up to…I wanted to give them their Blizzard of AhhsSki Movie or High Life, but done in a way that also shows the elegance, grace, community and style that is unique to women in the mountains.”

Barely making the midnight deadline... but still sneaking in the #WOW!
