In a sea of brightly colored tourism booths and tour operators there were a few booths that stood out at the Los Angeles Travel and Adventure Show.

1. Choose Your Own Adventure with Amazing Adventures Travel - Custom trips designed just for you. A short conversation with the ladies at this booth revealed a dynamic and genuine duo whose goal is to provide clients with their dream trip. They create trips based on the clients needs. Why settle on fitting into someone else's pre-planned itinerary when you can design your own? They specialize in dive trips and safaris around the globe, but can plan anything.

2. Roadtrippin' In Style - Somewhere in between tent camping and RVing comes the Jucy Campervan. Tent camping not quite your thing. Does driving a camper or RV feel like too much and maybe a bit intimidating? Then Jucy may be just what you need. The ease of driving a car with the comforts of sleeping, cooking and hanging out in a camper. Would love to take this green machine out for a trip!

Uber

3. Uber Cool New Way to Get Around Town.  Part taxi - part car service - 100% convenient. Uber first came up in a conversation a few weeks ago when someone was sharing how great their New Years Eve was partly because they left the car at home and used Uber. Then Uber ads started showing up on my Facebook timeline. Then at the show their simple black booth looked like a mistake amidst the colorful loud booths. I paused to see what was in this anti-booth and realized it was Uber. Decided it was a sign and stopped to chat. Using the app you can order a ride, choose your car style, get a price estimate and pay. Pre-screened independent drivers are standing by to get you. Convenient and cheaper than traditional taxis or car services, this provides a legible and reliable way to get around time.
